USEFUL TIPS
The million
dollar questions are: When
am I going to study? Do I have the stamina to be a successful
student? The answers to these questions are: Everyday I'll find
time to study and yes, I do have the stamina!
- Distance education
students need consistency and perseverance in order to bear the
anguish and anxiety that this kind of education may generate.
- Discipline will be
helpful to avoid stress and future problems. The key here is planning
and organizing your time. Organize your own schedule and adapt
your lifestyle to the new conditions. Establish your learning
goals.
- Love leads to isolation.
So can distance education! The student doesn't have the immediate
support of a teacher to motivate and help him or her when there
are difficulties. Students must actively interact with class members
and teachers in order to get permanent feedback by using technology
and/or face to face interaction. We must learn how to be a team
player and share our ideas, opinions, knowledge and of course
our difficulties.
- Be well prepared for
class, understand your learning goals and objectives.
- Set aside time for
your instructional activities; study in a profound way; don't
memorize, understand; apply the theory to real environments and
relate content to examples; learn
how to reseach in order to widen your knowledge and understanding;
and absolutely avoid laziness.
